December 31, 2006: East Windsor Township presents 2006 Business Awards

EAST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP. Mayor Janice S. Mironov presented the East Windsor Township 2006 Business Awards at a recent Township Council meeting. The purpose of the awards program is to recognize local businesses that have made special efforts to improve or contribute to the community. Nominations of businesses were accepted in three categories: 1) creating an attractive appearance, 2) community contributions and service, and 3) providing a special community enhancement.

Mayor Mironov presented the award for the category of creating an attractive appearance, by way of landscaping and the physical appearance of their structures and site, to the Holiday Inn East Windsor, located on Monmouth Street.

The award was given in recognition and appreciation for the remodeling of the former Ramada Inn now known as the Holiday Inn, which include a new façade and interior renovations.

Mayor Mironov praised the new look of the Holiday Inn which is the Township’s largest lodging facility with 200 rooms. According to Mayor Mironov, “the new Holiday Inn with its attractive façade and remodeled interior is a major asset to the Township and, along with the facility’s conference center and restaurant, is an oustanding lodging facility at the Exit 8 area of the New Jersey Turnpike.” The Mayor added, “the new Holiday Inn, along with other fine lodging facilities, further enhances the East Windsor Exit 8 interchange as the most attractive and popular designation for business travelers and tourists along the New Jersey Turnpike.”
