Carey Tajfel

President
 

Carey is a 1991 graduate of Yeshiva University. He joined Hotels Unlimited as Operations Manager of the Ramada Toms River in 1991. With the support of the corporate executive team, Carey oversees all company operations and management, and spearheads construction, renovations, and the development of new projects.

Deena Mann

Corporate Operations Director
 

Deena has a degree in Food Service Management, and joined Hotels Unlimited in 2002 as Assistant Manager of the Accounting Department. She has over 30 years of experience in Human Resources, Financial Management and Information Technology. Deena now takes a lead role in managing company operations, including corporate policies, business procedures, financing, contracts, and corporate structure.

Courtney Mattsson

Director of Hotel Operations
 

Courtney graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a degree in Hospitality Management, and she joined Hotels Unlimited in 2010. Courtney has worked in seven of the eleven Hotels Unlimited hotels in a range of roles including Front Desk Representative, Catering Sales Coordinator, Operations Manager, and General Manager. She currently shares responsibility for overseeing multiple hotels, and her passions include financial planning and team building.

Jack Shelton

Corporate Operations Manager
 

Jack earned a degree in Business Administration from Rutgers University with a concentration in Hospitality. He has a strong background in Food and Beverage and has worked as Front Desk Representative, Front Desk Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Acting General Manager. Jack joined Hotels Unlimited in 2019 and gained experience working at four of our hotel locations before he was promoted to his current role, in which he helps oversee several hotels in our portfolio.

Debbie Pizzola

Executive Director of Sales
 

Debbie began her career in hospitality by working at the Sheraton Orlando North to finance her college education. She started in the restaurant, and was eventually promoted to Marketing Director. She joined Hotels Unlimited in 2003 when the company was comprised of five hotels, and is now in charge of room sales and revenue management for many of the hotels in the company’s current portfolio. Debbie meets ownership’s target budgets and goals by optimizing rates, defining and targeting prospect markets, and mentoring a strong results-driven sales team.

Rachel Zagha

Operations Project Manager
 

Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Rutgers University, College of Arts and Sciences. She has developed her knowledge of real estate management through several internships with law firms and joined the company full-time in 2019. Rachel handles day-to-day operations of our commercial properties as well as property management and lease administration for our commercial and office properties. Rachel additionally coordinates the scheduling and execution of events featuring independent kosher caterers at our full-service hotel properties.

Eleonora Yutkovich

Accounting Department Manager
 

Eleonora joined the company in 1993 and has over 30 years of professional accounting experience. She has managed the diverse responsibilities of the Accounting Department starting from the company’s first hotel, all the way through to our current portfolio. In addition to her accounting responsibilities, Eleonora oversees all aspects of human resources, benefit administration and IRS compliance.

Will Capell

Director of Strategy & Compliance
 

Will holds a BSBA in Accounting and is a member of The Institute of Internal Auditors. Will joined Hotels Unlimited in 2012 with over 10 years of non-profit housing experience in both the public and private sectors, including serving on The Lawrence Township Board of Affordable Housing. Will assists our corporate team in various roles with a focus on financial analysis, strategic initiatives and regulatory compliance.

Veronica Henry

Accounting Department Assistant Manager
 

Veronica graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Ramapo College of New Jersey, an AACSB accredited business school. After gaining experience as a supervisor in various fields, she joined the company in 2013. Veronica started in Accounts Payable and her role has grown to include a range of responsibilities such as training and tenant properties supervision. She now helps oversee all functions of our Accounting Department.

Francine E. Tajfel

General Counsel
 

Francine graduated from Cornell University, College of Arts and Sciences, in 1991 and earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School in 1994. Her practice focuses on commercial leasing and the acquisition, sale and development of commercial real estate. She has lectured on commercial leasing, redevelopment and condominium law for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (ICLE), has served as an adjunct professor at Rutgers University, and has previously been selected for inclusion in New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Stars Edition. She joined the company in 2012.

Jenny Halat

Marketing Director
 

Jenny graduated from Rider University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and started her career developing the branding and marketing strategy for a start-up sports association. She joined the company 2012 as Marketing Coordinator and continued to grow and expand her knowledge over the years before being promoted to Marketing Director in 2023. The marketing team designs and executes sales and promotional collateral, purchases advertising and measures ROI, and develops and optimizes the online presence of the products within the Hotels Unlimited portfolio.

Phillip Lamarre

Director of Information Technology
 

Phillip joined Hotels Unlimited in 2022. He has studied software engineering and software development, and has over 8 years of experience with systems engineering and systems administration. Phillip has worked in a multitude of industries from public sector libraries, advertising, pharmaceuticals, and property management. In his current role, he oversees all technology operations for the company, including streamlining, troubleshooting, and optimization of hardware, communication technologies, and Internet connectivity.
