Carey is a 1991 graduate of Yeshiva University. He joined Hotels Unlimited as Operations Manager of the Ramada Toms River in 1991. With the support of the corporate executive team, Carey oversees all company operations and management, and spearheads construction, renovations, and the development of new projects.
FRANCINE E. TAJFEL
Francine graduated from Cornell University in 1991 and earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School in 1994. Her practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions, commercial leasing, and the preparation of governing documents for the sale of real estate developments. She has served as an adjunct professor at Rutgers University, and was selected for inclusion in New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Stars Edition 2008 and 2009. She joined Hotels Unlimited in 2012.
Corporate Operations Director
Deena has a degree in Food Service Management, and joined Hotels Unlimited in 2002 as Assistant Manager of the Accounting Department. Deena now takes a lead role in managing company operations, including policies and procedures, financing, contracts, and oversight of the IT Department.
Executive Director of Hotel Operations
Catarina is a proud graduate of the Penn State School of Hospitality Management, where she earned a BS in Hospitality with a Minor in Business. She started working with Hotels Unlimited in 2013, and joined the company full-time in 2016 after completing her degree. Catarina oversees daily operations at Hotels Unlimited, including corporate compliance and budgetary review, and is spearheading new business strategies in areas including recruiting, training, and guest relations. In 2019, Catarina was chosen as one of Hotel Management’s 30 Under 30 top rising stars in the hotel industry.
Director of Hotel Operations
Courtney graduated from Johnson & Wales University with a degree in Hospitality Management, and she joined Hotels Unlimited in 2010. Courtney has worked in seven of the eleven Hotels Unlimited hotels in a range of roles including Front Desk Representative, Catering Sales Coordinator, Operations Manager, and General Manager. She currently shares responsibility for overseeing multiple hotels, and her passions include financial planning and team building.
Executive Director of Sales
Debbie began her career in hospitality by working at the Sheraton Orlando North to finance her college education. She started in the restaurant, and was eventually promoted to Marketing Director. She joined Hotels Unlimited in 2003 when the company was comprised of five hotels, and is now in charge of room sales and revenue management for all ten hotels in the company’s current portfolio. Debbie meets ownership’s target budgets and goals by optimizing rates, defining and targeting prospect markets, and mentoring a strong results-driven sales team.
Regional Director of Sales
Margot graduated from Kutztown University. She has been in the hospitality business since 1995, and has sales experience with Marriott as well as several hotel management groups. She joined Hotels Unlimited in 2007, and now helps oversee room sales for all hotels in the company’s portfolio. Margot has a successful track record in generating new business, maximizing revenues, and inspiring her sales team to achieve their goals.
Regional Catering Sales Director
Rachel started her career in public relations, and has devoted much of her focus to event planning specifically in the food and beverage industry. Rachel started with Hotels Unlimited in 2017 in catering sales, and now oversees restaurant, meeting, and banquet sales and operations for the company. She manages menu development, sales strategy, quality assurance, and personnel, helping Hotels Unlimited maintain its high standards and reputation for food and beverage excellence.
Julia has a BS from Columbia University, and she joined Hotels Unlimited in 2004. She oversees marketing for the company’s hotels and banquet venues, including branding, advertising, and reputation management. In conjunction with the sales department, the marketing team designs and executes sales and promotional collateral, purchases advertising and measures ROI, and develops and optimizes the online presence of the products within the Hotels Unlimited portfolio.
Accounting Department Manager
Eleonora joined the company in 1993 and has over 30 years of professional accounting experience. She has managed the diverse responsibilities of the Accounting Department starting from the company’s first hotel, all the way through to our current portfolio. In addition to her accounting responsibilities, Eleonora oversees all aspects of human resources, benefit administration and IRS compliance.
Accounting Department Assistant Manager
Will holds a BSBA in Accounting and is a member of The Institute of Internal Auditors. Will joined Hotels Unlimited in 2012 with over 10 years of non-profit housing experience in both the public and private sectors, including serving on The Lawrence Township Board of Affordable Housing. In addition to his accounting responsibilities, Will assists our corporate team in various roles with a focus on financial analysis, internal and external audits and lease administration.
Mark has a BS in Business Administration and over 10 years of professional IT experience. He joined the Hotels Unlimited team in 2016, and oversees all technology operations for the company. His purview includes streamlining, troubleshooting, and optimization of hardware, communication technologies, and Internet connectivity for both employees and guests. He strives to help maintain our competitive edge and improve the user experience.
Manager of Construction and Property Management
Jared has been involved in construction, property management, and real estate since 2002. He has worked in every field of construction from hand digging trenches to managing multi-million dollar projects. Jared has been with Hotels Unlimited since early 2015. He oversees the daily operations of our renovation and construction projects, and ensures a certain level of workmanship that keeps our properties elevated above the competition.

A New Jersey Based, Family-Owned Company
The Tajfel Family, currently operating as Hotels Unlimited, Inc. and TFE Properties, has been in the hotel business since 1979. The company was pioneered by Henry Tajfel, the Chairman of the Board, and is now run by his sons Doran and Carey, Co-Presidents.
The key ingredient to their success has been their personal involvement in the management of their properties. Checklists are an efficient way of ensuring our quality standards are met. Everyone from Front Desk staff up to the General Managers is responsible for completing various checklists throughout the day. Perhaps the most important of the quality control checklists are the Manager On Duty (MOD) Checklist, Preventative Maintenance (PM) Checklist, and the Housekeeping Score Sheet. We go above and beyond the standards required by our franchised brands. While the brands may send inspectors to our hotels once or twice per year, we send our own team of inspectors to each hotel 3-4 times per year. The additional inspections mean that no detail goes unseen.
We believe that trust is earned by genuine customer experiences. We work tirelessly to earn and exceed our benchmarks for guest satisfaction and it shows. Our hotels are top-rated on TripAdvisor.
