A New Jersey Based, Family-Owned Company
The Tajfel Family, currently operating as Hotels Unlimited, Inc. and TFE Properties, has been in the hotel business since 1979. The company was pioneered by Henry Tajfel, the Chairman of the Board, and is now run by his sons Doran and Carey, Co-Presidents.
The key ingredient to their success has been their personal involvement in the management of their properties. This gives them a tremendous advantage over other companies who do not maintain the same strict quality controls and standards. In fact, Hotels Unlimited hotels have garnered many consumer and brand awards over the years, including:
- 5 Quality Awards from international hotel brands
- 2 Renovation Awards from international hotel brands
The family enterprise has expanded and matured from 24 rooms in 1979 to now include 11 hotels with nearly 1,600 rooms, as well as retail and office space, self-storage facilities, and other hotel and residential complexes under development. Hotels Unlimited currently owns and operates these hotels:
- Holiday Inn, East Windsor, NJ
- Days Inn, East Windsor, NJ
- Radisson, Freehold, NJ
- DoubleTree, Tinton Falls, NJ
- Holiday Inn Express, West Long Branch, NJ
- Holiday Inn Express, Neptune, NJ
- Ramada, Toms River, NJ
- Hilton Garden Inn, Lakewood, NJ
- Holiday Inn Express, Woodbridge, NJ
- Days Hotel, Toms River, NJ
- Sheraton Eatontown Hotel, NJ
The company’s past achievements include having operated and sold other hotels in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida.
At Hotels Unlimited, we believe the quality of service we provide is directly proportional to the strength of our values as a company, a family, and a member of our communities. The core values and at the heart of our business model can be distilled down to four categories:
Family & Community
We are a New Jersey based, family owned company established in 1979. We are active in the communities surrounding our various properties. We have made donations to benefit charities such as Susan G Komen for the Cure in Central & South Jersey, The Foodbank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties, Hometown Heroes of Toms River (part of Restore the Shore), St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, SUDC Foundation, and Alzheimer’s New Jersey. We also sponsor many well-loved organizations like Six Flags Great Adventure Theme Park & Safari, Lakewood Blueclaws Baseball Team, Old Bridge Township Raceway, and Monmouth University to name a few.
With 11 hotels and nearly 1,600 rooms, we believe our clients are best served by our diversity of convenient locations. See our map for all the locations of our New Jersey hotels.
Checklists are an efficient way of ensuring our quality standards are met. Everyone from Front Desk staff up to the General Managers is responsible for completing various checklists throughout the day. Perhaps the most important of the quality control checklists are the Manager On Duty (MOD) Checklist, Preventative Maintenance (PM) Checklist, and the Housekeeping Score Sheet. We go above and beyond the standards required by our franchised brands. While the brands may send inspectors to our hotels once or twice per year, we send our own team of inspectors to each hotel 3-4 times per year. The additional inspections mean that no detail goes unseen.
We believe that trust is earned by genuine customer experiences. We work tirelessly to earn and exceed our benchmarks for guest satisfaction and it shows. Our hotels are top-rated on TripAdvisor. Our catering is also highly recommended. The 5 hotels with ballrooms won 18 customer satisfaction awards in 2016. Each review is a testimony of our dedication to quality.
Hotels Unlimited is a family owned, New Jersey based hospitality company committed to growth through excellence. When you are away from home, you can expect our Hotels Unlimited team to welcome you with warmth and professionalism. It is our pleasure to serve your needs as a unique and valued client.
